About
Jesse Devitte is the “community leader” for the New Hampshire Startup Blog. He has dedicated the last 25 years of his life to helping software companies succeed, serving variously as an entrepreneur, public company executive, angel investor, outside director, industry spokesperson and currently as a venture capitalist.
Jesse was an early employee and executive at Softdesk which grew from a handful of people to a public company with hundreds of employees, offices around the world and eventually was acquired by Autodesk. While taking several years off to give back to family and public service, he co-founded Handmark where he remains a Director, served a term as the Chairman of the Software Association of New Hampshire and co-founded Borealis Ventures. Since then he has been an investor and board member at @Last Software prior to its acquisition by Google and at Scribe Software prior to its acquisition by The Mustang Group. Today he serves a director of Newforma where he was also a co-founder and the founding investor and is the Chairman of Vico Software as well as a Director of Envista Software and a Board Observer at SpaceClaim. He is also a Statewide Director for the NH Charitable Foundation and serves on the New England Board of TechNet.
The goal of this Blog is to be a central location for all things tech entrepreneurship in New Hampshire as well as sharing tech startup related content from across the country and around the world through other state and country blogs.
